By May 9, 2023 No Comments

Starting a fitness program can seem like a daunting task, but with a little bit of planning and effort, you can create a successful fitness plan that will have a positive impact on your health and well-being. In this series, we will provide you with 5 easy steps that will help you create a fitness plan that works for you.

Let’s Get Started!

The first step in creating a successful fitness plan is to assess your current fitness level. This is an essential step because it will give you a baseline to measure your progress against. Assessing your fitness level will also help you identify areas where you need to improve, and it will help you set realistic goals.

1. InBody Analysis

One way to assess your fitness level is to record your baseline fitness scores. First, you’ll want to do a full body composition analysis. InBody Body Composition scans are available for free in our Next Level Sports Nutrition stores. Not only will you see how much you weigh; you’ll understand how much of that weight is muscle, fat or water. Keeping an eye on your Body Fat Percentage is a great, healthy way to track your progress on your health and fitness journey.

2. Aerobic Analysis

For aerobic fitness, you can record your heart rate before and immediately after walking 1 mile. This will give you an idea of how efficiently your heart and lungs are working. You can also record how long it takes you to walk or jog 1 mile.

3. Muscular Analysis

To assess your muscular fitness, you can record how many standard or modified pushups you can do at a time. This will give you an idea of your upper body strength. To assess your flexibility, you can record how far you can reach forward while seated on the floor with your legs in front of you. This will give you an idea of your flexibility and range of motion.

4. Measurements

Understanding your current measurements will help you monitor progress across your body. Using a standard measuring tape, record your waist, bust, arms, legs, and any other areas you are looking to improve. If you need any help on how to properly measure yourself feel free to reach out and we will guide you through the process to ensure your measurements are as accurate as possible.

By recording these baseline fitness scores, you can determine your strengths and weaknesses and develop a fitness plan that is tailored to your needs. Next, we will discuss how to use this information to design a fitness program that will help you achieve your goals. Stay tuned!
